Parc Clemenceau, a green lung
Right in the centre of Tourcoing, Parc Clemenceau combines wide lawns, ponds and old trees. A date here feels simple and spontaneous: sit on a bench, walk without a goal, talk about anything and everything. Next door, the Botanical Garden of Tourcoing lines up greenhouses and themed beds and instantly softens the rhythm of the nearby city.
Along the Roubaix Canal
The Roubaix Canal crosses the metropolitan area, and its banks turned into a greenway suit cycling or walking very well. You pass barges, a few anglers, strolling couples. For a longer outing, head towards L’Union, a former industrial site turned creative district, and share a snack along the way to stretch the conversation out.
Phalempins, Blanc Seau and Van Robais
The neighbourhoods of Tourcoing hide several small parks worth exploring without rushing: Parc des Phalempins, Parc du Blanc Seau and Parc Van Robais draw another, quieter and gentler map of the town. On Lyad, locals share their Sunday routes; it is up to you to find someone to lace up and head out together.
